About AtDetroit, LLC
AtDetroit is a Meto-Detroit-based Internet communications company that has specialized in online and offline publications, virtual community creation and management, and Internet services. AtDetroit is a Limited Liability Corporation, registered in the state of Michigan in 2000.
AtDetroit and its founder and partners, Detroit artists Lowell Boileau, Susan Kramer and Nicolas Boileau, have been creating Internet solutions and communities since the birth of the World Wide Web beginning with the first Detroit fine art website in 1994 and the first Detroit Tigers, St. Johns Hospital System and WWJ Newsradio 950 websites in 1995. Since then, AtDetroit has created Internet solutions for over one hundred commercial, institutional, and creative entities.
In 2015 AtDetroit spun off its Internet services arm to its sister company Assembly Line Technologies -- ALTDetroit.com. AtDetroit continues as an online/offline publications company and the manager of its three online communities.
Created in 1997, DetroitYES is a widely acclaimed online community that has been selected as “Best of Detroit Website” - Hour Magazine [Metro Detroit], “Favorite Michigan Website” - Detroit Free Press, Readers’ choice as “Best of Detroit Website” by Detroit Metro Times, and “Yahoo Pick of the Year” by Yahoo.com. It has been profiled by the New York Times, Wired Magazine, and other major national and international media outlets. DetroitYES.com focuses on the story and crisis of Detroit through the website’s renowned forums where 2 million posts have been written by its over 20,000 members since its 1999 inception.
Soulful Detroit, launched in 2001, is an online community dedicated to the golden “Motown” era of Detroit Soul music. Its twenty-year discussion forum has united many of the major figures of that era with their national and international fan base and attracts 500,000 visitor sessions a year.
